I was married very young and was blessed with a physically and spiritually close relationship with my angel for 37 years when God took her back home with Him (1993). Although from a disadvantaged childhood, she radiated an inborn soul and 'class' those of the most privileged may aspire to, but rarely attain. Though not a 'needy' person, I will never feel quite right being single again. I have become keenly aware that everything in nature seems 'in pairs' and I wish to become part of a loving pair again.
I love life, learning, humour, art, cartoons, singing, bel canto, opera, classical, jazz, folk, best pop music (no Rap), science, history, antiques, movies (like Fiddler On The Roof), reading, APM/NPR (PHC), politics, gardening, sail-boats, water, fireplaces, fierce thunderstorms, ocean surf, strawberry milkshakes, apple pie (with cheddar cheese), children, family, dogs. Am fascinated by all of nature, enjoy travel and sometimes just 'perfecting the art of doing nothing beautifully'. All, as you know, so very greatly enhanced when shared with a loving partner.
Except for baseball, I do not like commercial sports or car racing. The same goes for hunting, boxing, wrestling, etc, as I have simply outgrown that stuff. Been a 'gym rat' in past, have started back. Am a Freemason and Shriner and have played in orchestras, sung in operas, G&S, choirs and SPEBSQA (barbershop). However, my recent social life (hermit) just has not been conducive to meeting any single ladies near my age and I am not a 'bar' person (but a 'karaoke bar' might be fun).
