About myself
Since retirement, I have been getting younger, or so it seems. I have lost weight, and now spend several hours a day running and cycling, so if I can find a good place nearby to develop my swimming ability, I may just end up doing triathlon... either by myself, or in age appropriate competition. I got into cycling as part of my effort to reduce my carbon footprint, at least in the summer months. Cross country skiing is a winter pleasure, and this year I may just get a new pair of skates in time for the opening of the Rideau skateway in Ottawa.
For the quieter times, I participate in a community choir, a church choir, and fibre crafts. If you sing tenor... we would love to have you join up for "Handel's Messiah" and in May for Brahm's German Requiem. (regardless of how you think about me.)
Even at sixty, I hope to find a gentle man, who is game to try new things... and who would take the view that the most interesting place to visit is the next one along the road less travelled. A pilgrimage or two might just be the retirement project to look forward.I would love to have some sort of partner in crime, just to keep me from getting too wild. Of course I would hope that there would be no repeats of the more stupid projects we did in our youth...
